John Schollum

John commenced his accounting career in 2004 with BDO Spicers representing mid-market clients across a range of industry groups. Since becoming a Chartered Accountant in 2007 he has held a number of senior management and CFO roles in electricity retailing, finance, venture capital, and most recently corporate advisory businesses.

In addition to his role as CFO, he brings a different skill set and perspective to customers which complements our brokers. He has a deep understanding of the practical challenges of businesses and knows how to bridge ‘insurance speak’ gap.

John holds a Bachelor of Management Studies (Accounting) and is a Chartered Accountant.

In his spare time John is a keen golfer (apparently he had five hole in one’s!), loves spending time with his two young nieces, and is a keen fisherman even if the results are mixed. He also loves getting away to the beach and tucking into a good biography
